My New Sewing Pattern for the Elegant Dress

Julie dress sewing pattern

Hello Darlings,

Last year I took a leap of faith and went after one of my biggest dreams: starting my own sewing pattern line. I've been carrying this idea in my heart for a long time and seeing it come to life, little by little, pattern by pattern - makes my heart incredibly happy.

I already have released 3 patterns: Marie oversize dress, cozy Courtney sweater and gorgeous shirred Sofia dress. I love all these designs and it's such a joy to share it with others, too!

For my new pattern, I wanted to share a design that is very close to my heart - a dress that makes me feel very special, a dress that I worn so many times already, a dress I reach for when I want an extra boost in confidence - a dress that I called 'Julie'.

I first made this dress two years ago from Barbie (Marciano) fabric and it has since become my wardrobe staple:

I love the silhouette of this dress: it's so elegant, classy and timeless, I'm sure this is an item that I'll have in my closet for a long time!

I have enjoyed this dress so much, that I wanted to share it with you, too! This is why I've created my new sewing pattern for Julie dress:

This dress has Bishop sleeves, circle skirt, bow neckline and button placket, making it perfect for any special occasion.

The pattern comes in 6 sizes (XS-XXL), most popular PDF formats (A4/Letter format; A0 format file; Projector format), as well as photo instructions and video tutorial.

I added a lot of great techniques to the tutorial (like French seam, rolled hem, dart pressing, etc.), so I highly recommend watching it:

I liked this dress so much that I decided to make a third version! This time I used lightweight polyester with elastane, for more flowy look (this version is also 5cm shorter than original pattern) - isn't polka dot print just the cutest?

I love this dress so much and I'm very happy to share it with you! If you would like to make your 'Julie' dress, you can find pattern on my Etsy shop.

Happy sewing,

Julie
