Brother Stellaire2 Innov-ís XJ2 Sewing & Embroidery Machine

Recently I got a pleasure to test new Brother Stellaire2 Innov-ís XJ2 Sewing & Embroidery Machine. This is by far the most advanced sewing machine I ever worked with and I was surprised by several of its features. So let's talk about surprising things you can expect from advanced sewing machine!

This article is created in partnership with Brother - experts of home sewing, embroidery, quilting, and crafting machines for more than 100 years.

7 Surprising Things About Advanced Sewing Machines

No.1: Accessibility.

The thing that surprised me the most about advanced sewing machine is how it makes sewing more accessible. For example, even though it comes with a foot controller, it's primarily used with a start/stop button - you push the button and machine starts to sew at even pace. Foot controllers can be challenging to use, as they require mobility and precision, and start/stop button fully solves this issue.

Another example is auto-threading of the needle with a push with a needle - again, not precision is needed, the machine will do the challenging task itself, successfully threading the needle every time.

No.2: Size.

With technology, we are often think that 'the smaller - the better', but when it comes to sewing machines - the opposite is true: a large sewing machine will allow you to easily handle large projects, while heavier weight will add stability and comfort when sewing.

No.3: Customization.

Advanced sewing machines allow you to customize everything, and I mean everything: presser foot pressure, presser foot lift height, auto-presser foot lift, auto thread cutting at the end of the seam, and so so much more. And trust me - it's so easy to get used to those custom features!

No.4: Ease of use.

Surprisingly, advanced sewing machines are rather easy to use, as they have a lot of navigation points to help you perform a certain task: there's a manual, but you can also scan QR code on machine and go directly to instruction on your phone; there's also guide of basic tasks shown on the machine screen and you can even watch tutorials right on that large machine screen!

Usually, advanced sewing machines come with tons of additional accessories and lots of extra features inside: for example, Stellaire2 Innov-ís XJ2 comes with tons of embroidery designs and even 100 of favourite Disney characters to embroider!
